Grower’s Best Organics was founded on the belief that healthier soils lead to healthier plants, healthier food systems, and stronger communities. OUR COMPOSTING PROCESS
Clean Feedstock Sourcing
Our compost begins with carefully selected agricultural materials including plant residues, aged manures, mineral inputs, fish-based biological materials, and source-separated food waste collected from trusted nonprofit and community partners. Materials are screened and monitored to maintain purity and consistency.
Mineral-Supported Biological Activation
Naturally derived mineral inputs are introduced early in the composting cycle to support microbial development and long-term soil-building characteristics.
Thermophilic Composting Phase
Active composting conditions are carefully managed to promote biological breakdown, sanitation, and stabilization of organic materials.
Extended Curing and Biological Maturity
Following the active phase, compost enters an extended curing period allowing biological communities to mature and stabilize.
Natural Mycelium Development
During curing, beneficial fungal networks naturally develop within portions of the compost, contributing to the biological richness of the finished material and supporting soil ecosystem development.
Mineral-Based Stabilization Stage
Naturally occurring mineral amendments with high cation-exchange capacity are incorporated to support compost stability and balanced soil-building characteristics.
Screening and Final Preparation
Once biological maturity is reached, compost is screened and prepared for distribution while preserving biological integrity.
Supporting Community Soil-Building Programs
